- Five ways kids can protect the environment
- Read. Learn as much as you can about our planet's animals and environments to give you ideas about how you can help solve problems.
- Speak up. Talk to your friends and family about helping the environment. Suggest family activities that involve animals and nature.
- Don't litter. Always put your trash away where it won't harm an animal. Pick up any garbage you see and put it in a garbage can.
- Plant something. Some public libraries have seed libraries that you can borrow seeds from. Plant a vegetable or a flower. The bees will thank you!
- Recycle. Before throwing something in the garbage, think of what other uses it could have. Make something new, or try a science experiment with discarded items.
