Who signed the Certificate of Achievement?

Charlie the Black-capped Chickadee

Charlie has travelled between British Columbia and Newfoundland, and as far north as the Yukon and Northwest Territories, visiting friends and family. He is always ready for a game of hide-and-seek, and can remember where treats were hidden for a whole month! Charlie loves to sing and read, and is very proud to be New Brunswick's official bird, sporting his favourite hat.

Flitting from tree to tree, Charlie has met many forest friends, but his best buddy of all is Annick the Porcupine. Together, they have explored all 63 libraries across the province, reading all the way.

Annick the Porcupine

Sharp, quick–witted, and a passionate reader, Annick loves nothing better than a party with balloons, which is a challenge for a girl with 30,000 quills. When not climbing trees, nestling into a good book, or researching decorative quill work, Annick is writing adventure stories that recount her journeys with Charlie the Black-capped Chickadee.

With her friend, Charlie, Annick plans to throw a party in celebration of their adventures, helping to spread the love of reading throughout the forests of New Brunswick.
