Biography
Judith Hamel did her master’s studies in French language and literature at the Université de Moncton. After writing a collection of poetry, she turned to children’s literature and published her first children’s story, Modo et la lune, in 1996. In addition to completing a series of five Modo books, Judith published four more titles with Bouton d’or Acadie. This intelligent and compassionate woman died on August 21, 2005, of cancer. Thankfully, her literary work will live on, to the great delight of children and of us all!
