Biography
Ligia Carvalho is a Brazilian-Canadian author who is passionate about books, cooking, and traveling. She is a full-time mother to three boys. Ligia and her husband reside in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada. Max Loves Cupcakes is her first book for children.
How has New Brunswick influenced your work?
I moved to New Brunswick a little over a year [ago] and since I came I felt that this place made me feel so welcome that it was time for [me] to pursue my long-time dream of writing a children's book.

F is for Fiddlehead by Marilyn Lohnes
What do you consider to be the highlight of your career so far?
Just having the opportunity to launch the book and have the support of this community [means a lot to me].
