Biography

Raoul Boudreau is originally from Bertrand and now lives in Shippagan. He holds a B.A., a Bachelor of Education degree and a Master of Psychology from the Université de Moncton. Over the years, he has been a professor, guidance counselor, trainer for an adult clientele, school psychologist, and school counselor. After working for eight years at the Collège de Bathurst, he continued his career at the school district on the Acadian Peninsula.

After retiring, he worked part-time for ten years as a psychologist in private practice for the Service à la famille de la Péninsule acadienne.

In 2003, he published the book L’enfance aux temps des processions, Éditions de la francophonie. In 2004, he won the Prix France-Acadie for that work, which consists of stories both new and inspired from his childhood. In the fall of 2004, in addition to receiving that award in Paris, he was invited to take part in the Salon international des Auteurs Francophones de Laon, in Picardie (France).
