How has New Brunswick influenced your work?
The natural setting and Acadian communities.
What is your favourite New Brunswick book, and why?
La Charlotte des battures, because it occurs in the place where I was born, the Acadian Peninsula. I find it’s rare to read novels where the story actually unfolds in that place. Moreover, the author keeps us in suspense from start to finish. It’s not a predictable story.
What do you consider to be the highlight of your career so far?
The release of my first book in Acadie after several years of waiting, and the publication of my new short story, L’homme à la valise rouge, originally entitled Une perte inoubliable, in the Franco-Ontarian literary review, Virages, edited by Marguerite Andersen.
