Biography
I have lived in Sackville for the past 50 years with my husband of 54 years, Peter. We have 3 children who all grew up in N.B.
My M.A. (1954) and my Ph.D. (1972) are both in English Literature from University of New Brunswick (Fredericton). While doing my M.A. there on a teaching fellowship, I was invited to start a summer program at UNB for Francophones to learn English. I directed and taught in this program for 3 years.
For 20 years I taught at l’Université de Moncton, where I was a full professor. (I also did a lot of extension work for Mount Allison University in Sackville.)
I am the author of about 30 books (fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children’s); and I have done translations (French to English) for Moncton’s French Children’s press, Bouton d’Or Acadie.
