Premier Bernard Lord holds a news conference where he discussed his vision for “five goals in five years,” announced during the 30th Annual State of the Province Address. The five goals would see the province have the highest rate of people with post-secondary education; lowest tax burden east of Alberta; best rate of physical fitness in the country; biggest reduction in air and water pollution, and the largest reduction of poverty rate in Canada.
