A new pet establishment regulation that licenses kennels and previously un-licensed pet retail stores and animal shelters is now in effect. The regulation makes New Brunswick one of the few provinces to oversee pet establishments to such a high degree. It will be administered by the New Brunswick Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NBSPCA).
