Attorney General
Office of the Lieutenant-Governor
Attorney General Michael Murphy recently participated in the traditional ceremony marking the transfer of the Great Seal, in the library of Government House in Fredericton. The Great Seal is used to authenticate New Brunswick's most important documents, and is entrusted to the attorney general for safekeeping. It is a longstanding tradition for the lieutenant-governor to transfer the Great Seal to the province's attorney general in the name of Her Majesty, the Queen. From left: Lt.-Gov. Herménégilde Chiasson; and Murphy.
