Business New Brunswick Minister Greg Byrne presents a cheque to Oromocto Mayor Faye Tidd to pay for costs incurred during the 2008 spring flood. The cheque, worth $170,729.78, was drawn from the Provincial Disaster Financial Assistance Program. The Oromocto response team acted in response to a call for assistance from the provincial government. The team quickly responded to the needs of residents in Maugerville and Sheffield whose properties were being flooded or in danger of being flooded.
