 December 5, 2008 - FrederictonStatus of WomenA memorial service to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women was led today by Mary Schryer, the minister responsible for the status of women. The service was held in memory of the 14 young women killed at l'École Polytechnique in Montreal on Dec. 6, 1989. It was attended by many MLAs, civil servants, and community partners who work in the area of violence against women. | ||||
