| Description | Grade 5 and 6 classes from participating local schools will receive a guided tour of Beaver Harbour Archives from Mr. James Hawkins who is our President, local historian and a retired independent fisherman. The primary focus of this tour will be to learn how the history of this small community is linked to and has been shaped by the Bay of Fundy. Afterwards, over light refreshments, participants will have an opportunity to learn about fishing as an occupation and the fisherman's way of life. As a number of classes are expected, individual tours will be scheduled over a period of 1-2 days during the week of February 11. |
