Designated Historic in 1979

Believed to have been constructed around 1832, this is a good representative example of the Gothic Revival style in domestic architecture.

Girouard Shipwreck Site
Miramichi Bay, Northumberland County

Constructed in c.1780;
Designated Protected in 1979

This largely intact shipwreck dates to c.1780, and contains hull objects and cargo remains. This relativly intact 18th Century shipwreck is located between Burnt Church Point and Portage Island. .
 

Archdeacon Hiram A. Cody House
Codys, Queens County

Constructed in c.1870;
Designated Historic in 1979

A typical farmhouse of the 1870's, this property was designated because of its close association with Archdeacon Cody, a significant 20th century New Brunswick writer.

 

City Market
Saint John, St. John County

Constructed in 1876;
Designated Protected in 1980

Of mixed Romanesque and Second Empire styles, this 1876 building replaces two earlier structures on the site. It is also a National Historic Site.

Saints Peter and Paul Church
Bartibog Bridge, Northumberland County

Constructed in 1853;
Designated Historic in 1981

Built in 1853, this building represents a transitional phase of Gothic Revival following the principles of Anglican Bishop John Medley. It is ascribed to builder William Murray.
