Library Card Request
(For New Users)

The online registration service is available to individuals with postal addresses in the Province of New Brunswick. For other card requests, including educator cards and replacement of lost or stolen cards, please contact your local public library. If you have any questions, or require assistance with this form, please contact us.

You can apply for a library card by filling out the form below, or you can obtain one at your your local library. Enter your information in the appropriate spaces in the form. Please ensure all fields with an asterisk are filled in, or we will not be able to process your request. Please note that this request is intended for users who have not already obtained a library card. If your library card has been lost or stolen, please contact your local library.

When you register online, your library card will be mailed to you. You can use your library card to access some online resources on our website as soon as you receive it. Just enter the barcode printed on the card when you are prompted to do so. When you visit a library for the first time to borrow library material, you will be asked to provide proof of identity (such as New Brunswick driver's license or any other government I.D.). If you have any questions about what is acceptable identification or about obtaining and using a library card, please contact your local library.

Occasionally, public libraries send out information to their patrons to promote new programs and services, special activities and events or information of local interest. Please note that this option will not affect the delivery of overdue notices, replacement bills or collection agency notices. This type of communication is related to your obligations when you borrow materials from the library; therefore, you will receive these notices even if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted by the library.
