Biography

Sari Green is a New Brunswick author and former newspaper reporter. Born and raised in Saint John, she attended Saint John Vocational School (now Harbourview High School) before pursuing a career in journalism. She currently resides in St. Stephen, NB, where she writes epic fantasy novels, including The Godchild Saga, a series celebrated for its emotional depth, cinematic pacing, and richly imagined world.

The first book in the series, The Drowned Fortress, was released in 2025. Book 2, The Iceborne Spire, was published in early 2026. Three more books are forthcoming.

How has New Brunswick influenced your work?

I’ve drawn on my experiences growing up and living in New Brunswick in subtle ways. For example, one chapter of The Drowned Fortress features a tidal island inspired by my time at Ministers Island. Small details like this, along with the province’s landscapes and coastal atmosphere, help ground my fantasy world in a sense of place.

What is your favourite New Brunswick book, and why?

Bodies in the Backyard by Brian O’Neill.

I enjoyed this book because I am a fan of true crime literature, and this one hit close to home.

What do you consider to be the highlight of your career so far?

The highlight of my career so far has been publishing The Drowned Fortress and sharing it with readers here in New Brunswick. Seeing local readers connect with my story has been incredibly rewarding.
