Biography

Poet, musician, videographer and new media artist, Daniel Dugas has participated in individual and group exhibitions in Canada and abroad. He completed his Master’s studies in Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has been an artist in residence at the Banff Centre, Sculpture Space in New York, EMMEDIA in Calgary, A.I.R. Vallauris in France and more recently the Sydney College of the Arts in Australia with his collaborator Valerie LeBlanc. In 2005, Daniel launched a CD of interactive audio music, Free Market Karaoke, which he presented in Canada and at the Transitio MX - Festival International de Artes Electronicas Y Video, in Mexico City.
