In addition to books, serials and databases, the New Brunswick Legislative Library has a unique resource that is very valuable when doing historical research.
Started in the late 1970s, but also containing material that dates much further back, the “Pamphlet Files” contain New Brunswick information that might not otherwise be available. This collection is comprised of mainly smaller, uncatalogued items, including newspaper and magazine clippings, maps, postcards, programs from events, photographs, and, of course, pamphlets. The files are arranged by subject and cover a wide range of topics, including information about past and present MLAs, communities, architecture, and other historically relevant material about New Brunswick.
Please feel free to come into the library to take a look at this valuable and unique resource. The Library is open from Monday to Friday (8:15-5:00), and the Reference Desk can be contacted at 453-2338or email@example.com.
