Sue Stultz
Minister of Government Services (responsible for Service New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Internal Services Agency) Susan (Sue) Stultz was born and educated in Moncton, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late E. Garfield Hicks and the late Alfreda Sherwood. A Progressive Conservative, she was first elected to the 57th Legislative Assembly in the provincial general election held September 27, 2010, as the Member for Moncton West. On October 12, 2010, she was sworn in as Minister of Social Development, Minister responsible for Seniors, Minister responsible for Housing, and Minister responsible for Community Non-Profit Organizations. On October 9, 2012, she became Minister of Government Services, responsible for Service New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Internal Services Agency. She is a member of the Policy and Priorities Committee, and government co-chair of the Board of Directors for the Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation. As a successful business woman and community leader, she was awarded the Muriel Fergusson Award which is presented every two years by the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce to a woman who has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities. Although better known for her annual Christmas turkey campaign, her countless hours of volunteer work for her community in various capacities has resulted in the presentation of several awards and acknowledgements. Most notable are the Caring Canadian Award which was presented on behalf of Governor General Michaelle Jean, the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, the Paul Harris Fellow International Award and chosen based on outstanding contribution to community service, International YMCA Peace Medal, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, and the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation wall "Friends for Life." Mrs. Stultz and her husband Bruce have two grown daughters, Misti and Mandi. |
