Minister responsible for La Francophonie

Francine Landry is a businesswoman who is very active in economic development, tourism, and culture.

From 2012 until recently, Ms. Landry was in charge of the economic component of the 2014 Congrès mondial acadien. She was responsible for promoting and facilitating cooperation between international partners, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders in northern New Brunswick, northern Maine, and Témiscouata, Quebec.

She has also worked as an assistant director and economic development officer for the Northwest Industrial Commission, and has sat on numerous boards at both the regional and provincial levels.

Ms. Landry holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from the Université de Moncton, Edmundston campus, a Certificate in Economic Development from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and a Diploma in Business Technology from the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, Edmundston campus.

Elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick for the first time on September 22, 2014, as the member for the new riding of Madawaska Les Lacs-Edmundston, Francine Landry became a member of the Executive Council on October 7, 2014, as Minister of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour and Minister responsible for La Francophonie. Ms. Landry is a member of the Board of Management, the Policy Board, and the Jobs Board.
