Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 The heading "Requirement to possess load slip" preceding section 2 of the Transportation of Primary Forest Products Act, chapter T-11.02 of the Acts of New Brunswick,
1999, is amended by striking out "load slip" and substituting "transportation certificate".

2 Section 2 of the Act is amended

       (a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the following:

2(1) No person shall operate in the Province, bring into the Province or take out of the Province on a public highway, a vehicle that is carrying a full or partial load of primary
forest products unless the person has possession of a properly completed transportation certificate, produces for examination the transportation certificate and any other
documentation required to be produced under this Act or the regulations and delivers them in accordance with the requirements set out in this Act and the regulations.

       (b) in subsection (3) by striking out "load slips" and substituting "transportation certificates".

3 The heading "Requirement to deliver load slip" preceding section 3 of the Act is amended by striking out "load slip" and substituting "transportation certificate".

4 Section 3 of the Act is amended

       (a) in subsection (1) by striking out "load slip" and substituting "transportation certificate";

       (b) in subsection (2) by striking out "load slip" and substituting "transportation certificate".

5 The Act is amended by adding after section 3 the following:

Obligation to require transportation certificate

3.1(1) No owner or person in charge of any mill, other place of business or other location where primary forest products are off-loaded shall accept delivery of primary forest
products from the operator of a vehicle to whom subsection 2(1) applies unless the operator of the vehicle delivers to him or her a properly completed transportation certificate
for the primary forest products carried by the vehicle.

3.1(2) An owner or person in charge of any mill, other place of business or other location where primary forest products are off-loaded who receives transportation certificates
shall, in accordance with the requirements set out in the regulations, complete, collect, keep and remit the transportation certificates and any other prescribed records,
reports, documentation or information.

6 Subsection 4(2) of the Act is amended by striking out "load slip" wherever it appears and substituting "transportation certificate".

7 Section 6 of the Act is amended

       (a) in paragraph (2)(c) by striking out "load slips" and substituting "transportation certificates";

       (b) in paragraph (3)(b) by striking out "load slips" and substituting "transportation certificates".

8 Section 7 of the Act is amended by striking out "load slips" and substituting "transportation certificates".

9 Section 9 of the Act is amended by striking out "load slip" and substituting "transportation certificate".

10 Section 10 of the Act is amended by striking out "load slips" wherever it appears and substituting "transportation certificates".

11 Section 12 of the Act is amended

       (a) by repealing paragraph (a);

       (b) in paragraph (b) by striking out "load slips" and substituting "transportation certificates";

       (c) in paragraph (c) by striking out "load slips" and substituting "transportation certificates";

       (d) in paragraph (d) by striking out "load slips" and substituting "transportation certificates".

12 Schedule A of the Act is amended by adding after

       3(2) D

       the following:

       3.1(1) D

13(1) Paragraph 37(3)(c) of the Natural Products Act, chapter N-1.2 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1999, is amended by striking out "load slip" and substituting
"transportation certificate".

13(2) Paragraph 39(3)(c) of the Act is amended by striking out "load slip" and substituting "transportation certificate".
