Education
This week in Fredericton, about 500 primary teachers (K-2) are attending sessions to enhance their skills in the teaching of reading, writing and oral language development. One of the key initiatives of the Quality Learning Agenda is to ensure students leave grade two with a solid foundation in reading and writing. These two-day sessions contribute in reaching that goal. The keynote speaker at these sessions is Miriam Trehearne, a literacy specialist from Calgary.
