More public participation, secure silviculture funding, more wood in the future, strategies to sustain the Acadian forest, fewer clear-cuts, and more value-added opportunities are some of the benefits that will come out of a new framework for forest management.
The New Brunswick government today embraced the spirit of the Legislature's Select Committee on Wood Supply as Natural Resources Minister Keith Ashfield announced the government response to the committee's 25 recommendations in Fredericton.
