Seizing opportunities to lower energy rates in New Brunswick, reducing poverty while empowering people and creating jobs, enhancing health and senior care, promoting literacy, and positioning the province for significant economic growth were among the themes in the 2009-10 throne speech delivered by Lt.-Gov. Graydon Nicholas during the opening of the fourth session of the 56th Legislature.   Seizing opportunities to lower energy rates in New Brunswick, reducing poverty while empowering and creating jobs for people, enhancing health and senior care, promoting literacy and positioning the province for significant economic growth were the central themes of the speech from the throne, delivered by Lt-Gov.
