A group of Canadian politicians recently joined American business leaders to urge the departments of State (State) and Homeland Security (DHS) to explore alternatives to a passport before implementing the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) passport requirement at land and sea entry points.   Pictured in Washington, D.C., at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are, from left: Randy Johnson with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Congresswoman Louise Slaughter of the 28th District of New York; Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty; New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham, and Manitoba Premier Gary Doer.
