 February 6, 2007 - FrederictonLegislative AssemblyAs their first order of business, members of the Fifty-Sixth Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick today elected Liberal MLA Eugene McGinley (Grand Lake-Gagetown) to preside over their deliberations as Speaker of the House. Continuing tradition, Premier Shawn Graham and Opposition Leader Jeannot Volpé dragged a 'reluctant' Mr. McGinley to the throne where he returned thanks for his election.
