Public Safety
The Moncton Fire Department will soon provide a regional hazardous materials (HAZMAT) light team response for the people of southern New Brunswick. Public Safety Minister John Foran provided Moncton Mayor Lorne Mitton with a cheque for $50,000 as the province's first payment toward the operation of the program, and to help with the training of more firefighters at the technician level.
