The new $5-million school being constructed in Dieppe will be called École Carrefour de l'Acadie. The announcement was made today by Premier Bernard Lord at a ceremony to mark the beginning of the work. From left: Achille Maillet, mayor of Dieppe; Education Minister Claude Williams; Lord; Cy Leblanc, MLA for Dieppe-Memramcook; Ernest Thibodeau, president of District 1 Education Council; and Suzanne Roussel, president of the transition committee, with pupils who will attend the new school in September.
