Legislative Assembly
A unanimous motion officially recognizing the suffering and the hardships of the Acadians during the Great Upheaval was adopted in the Legislative Assembly. The motion further recognizes the importance of those events in the history of New Brunswick and of Canada as a whole, as well as the determination of Acadians to forge a better future for themselves.
