The Province of New Brunswick and the Government of Canada officially opened a new affordable housing project in St. Stephen, Charlotte County, today. The $1.1-million project, which was funded under the Canada-New Brunswick Affordable Housing Agreement, involves 12 new units of affordable housing for low- to moderate-income families. At the opening are, from left: Ida Fraser, tenant; Charles McArthur, of Canada Housing and Mortgage Corp.; Wayne Dampsey, St. Croix Valley Housing Co-op; Family and Community Services Minister Tony Huntjens; St. Stephen Mayor Bob Brown; and Blake Fraser, tenant.
