The Atlantica Centre for Energy was launched recently in Saint John. The new organization, an extension of Enterprise Saint John, the Community Economic Development Agency of the region, will identify, support and promote opportunities for development and direct investment in the area's energy sector. Acting as an ‘energy incubator', the centre will also serve to connect energy-related economic, environmental and entrepreneurial activities. Atlantica is a geographic region that includes the Atlantic Provinces, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and upper New York State.
