Six inductees will be added to the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame at a dinner and induction ceremony to be held in Fredericton on Saturday, June 5. John Estabrooks, chairman of the board of governors, made the announcement today.
  Pat Dobie, Fredericton, a highly-accomplished all-round athlete will join the hall of fame in the veterans category. Dobie was a national champion in discus, shot-put and javelin by her senior year at Fredericton High School. She continued to be highly competitive on the national and international stage for 20 years in track and field, basketball and fencing. She was a Canadian fencing champion and a member of the 1963 Canadian senior A champion Saskatoon Aces basketball club. Dobie is a member of the Canadian Forces Sports Hall of Fame and the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
