 December 4, 2009 - FrederictonStatus of WomenA memorial service to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women was held today in memory of the 14 young women killed at l'École Polytechnique in Montreal on Dec. 6, 1989. Health Minister Mary Schryer, who is also the minister responsible for the status of women, led the service, which was also attended by MLAs, civil servants, and community partners who work in the area of violence against women. | ||||
