Additions and changes to cabinet were announced by Premier Shawn Graham. The changes are intended to strengthen the government as it prepares for a new sitting of the legislature, and to bring new voices to the cabinet table in support of the government's self-sufficiency agenda.
Three new cabinet ministers are (from left) Brian Kenny (MLA-Bathurst), minister of state for Seniors, and minister responsible for Community Non-profit Organizations; Rick Brewer (MLA-Southwest Miramichi), minister of Human Resources and minister responsible for the Aboriginal Affairs Secretariat; Premier Shawn Graham, and Bernard LeBlanc (MLA-Memramcook-Lakeville-Dieppe), minister of Local Government.
