Village Historique Acadien
The management of the Village Historique Acadien (VHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Philippe Basque to the position of VHA historian. Mr. Basque started his new job on May 5 and will be kept very busy doing research on the new buildings that are part of the VHA’s Phase II, i.e., the general store, the train station, the Ward house, the McGraw house, the Chiasson farm, and Goguen’s mill. These buildings are scheduled to open in June 2009, the year of the World Acadian Congress. Mr. Basque will also be responsible for the historical authenticity and interpretation of the site.
