Enjoy refreshments, entertainment, and socializing with others who are patients, caregivers and family members. Caregivers may come with or without the dementia/Alzheimer’s patient to the monthly sessions. New members are always welcome from McGivney to Renous as well as anyone visiting the area.
Norrad, RSW with Region 3 Horizon Health, organizes talks each
month that are short, but informative for caregivers so they are aware of
coping skills and the latest in medications and strategies to improve the well
being of patients. She will be doing a talk on “Deep Breathing
and Stretching for Relaxation”. Lise Ouelette will do stretching
exercises. Learn more about Alzheimer’s disease
and other forms of dementia by selecting material for the book exhibit.
Learn more about the new Caregivers Support Network that will be the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Library’s Board Room. Also watch for information on the second annual Alzheimer’s Walk in May.
