    2011-2012 Reading Challenge
    Tuesday, March 1, 2011  till Thursday, March  1, 2012  during library open hours
    The library invites readers to challenge themselves and broaden their horizons by reading books they would normally not read. For readers of all ages. Logbooks are available at the library's circulation desk.

    Hackmatack Reading Club (grades 4 to 6)
    Tuesday, September 20, 2011  till Saturday, April  28, 2012  during library open hours
    Read some of Canada's best children's books and vote for the book you think should win the Hackmatack Children's Choice Award. Registration begins September 20, 2011.

    Pyjama Storytime (3 to 5 years)
    Tuesday, February 21, 2012  till Tuesday, March  13, 2012  6:00  p.m. - 7:00  p.m.
    A program including stories, fingerplays and a craft. Children attend without their parents. This program is free. Registration is required between January 31st and February 14th.

    Book Club (English)
    Tuesday, February 21, 2012 7:00  p.m. - 8:00  p.m.
    The book for the month of February is "Small Island" by Andrea Levy. To register and to reserve a copy of the book, please call the library.

    Toddler Time (18 months to 3 years)
    Saturday, February 25, 2012  till Saturday, March  17, 2012  10:30  a.m. - 11:00  a.m.
    A program including stories, fingerplays and a craft. Children participate with their parents. This program is free. Registration is required between February 7th and 21st.

    Book Club (French)

    The book for the month of March is "L'élégance du hérisson" by Muriel Barbery. Please call the library to register and to reserve a copy of the book.

    Saint Patrick's Day Tea
    Friday, March 16, 2012 2:00  p.m. - 4:00  p.m.
    The library will offer tea, coffee and cookies to retirees to celebrate Saint-Patrick's Day. It's free! Registration is not required.

    The library invites children ages 3 to 5 to come and make a fun Easter craft! It's free and all necessary materials will be provided. Registration is required between March 17 and 31.

    The library invites children ages 6 to 12 to come and make a fun Easter craft! It's free and all necessary materials will be provided. Registration is required between March 17 and 31.

    Babies in the library (birth to 18 months)
    Thursday, April 12, 2012  till Thursday, May  3, 2012  10:30  a.m. - 11:30  a.m.
    A program of songs, fingerplays, and stories. This program requires the participation of a parent. This program is free. Registration is required between March 28 and April 11.
