Biography
Marielle Cormier Boudreau is originally from Bertrand and now lives in Shippagan, NB. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Collège Jésus-Marie (Shippagan), a Master’s in French from Université Laval (Quebec), and she pursued doctoral studies in literature at the Université d'Aix-en-Provence (France). She taught at the Collège de Bathurst during the 1970s then at the Université de Moncton, Shippagan Campus, where she was a professor of French and Acadian Folklore for some thirty years.
She has researched Acadian traditions for more than thirty years, which gave rise to many conferences and refereed publications (see: Marielle Cormier Boudreau, Internet).
